Fixture

A set of Gauges bundled together to evaluate a product or on an item during the process manufacturing is called a FIXTURE. Each gauge attached to a fixture is individually called as a PROBE. Fixture is used to record the readings for various parameters of a part in a single go. This will help the user save his time and energy in taking individual readings one at a time.

In this dialog box various fields have to be added in order to add information for fixtures. To add a Fixture, click on the Add button.

Fixture Code – You have to specify a code in the drop down list box for the Fixture that has to be defined.

Fixture Name – Enter the name of the Fixture.

Manufacturer – You may enter the name of the manufacturer. This field is not mandatory.

Calibration Date – Specify the date when the Fixture should be calibrated.

Interval Time – Specify the interval for receiving the calibration date reminder messages. Calibration Date and Interval Time are used to popup messages on the launch of the Fixture Monitoring screen to notify that the fixture is due for calibration. Depending upon the interval specified, e.g. if the interval time is 10 then, 10 days before the Calibration Date, messages shall be displayed to you on the launch of the Fixture Monitoring.

Location Code – Specify the location where the fixture is situated.

Specifications – You have to specify the specifications of the Fixture.

Fixture Type – Select a fixture type. Fixture Type can be single or multiple. If the fixture type is Single, then single switch will be used for dumping the readings in Measurement screen for all parameters. If the fixture type is multiple then multiple switches i.e. for each parameter a switch is provided.

 

Click on Modify button to modify the fixture details except for the Fixture Code. To delete a fixture click on Delete button. You can delete a fixture only if Fixture Settings are not defined for selected fixture.
